Our story
Built on North Carolina’s Pleasure Island, for coastal towns that empty out after Labor Day.
Every year after Labor Day, co-founder Carla Duarte watched neighbors flood local Facebook groups with the same two questions: who’s still open, and who’s running locals’ specials? Meanwhile the venues were relying on printed island maps — outdated by midseason and impossible to track.
She and her partner Scott Thomas built the alternative: one live map that sends foot traffic to the door while it still matters.
Carla knows the community. Scott builds AI and cloud systems.
Together they built a platform shaped around how coastal towns actually run.
The map is running right now on Pleasure Island, and in six other towns nearby.
